Our pastor, Amy Harper, has a rich history in the Methodist Church. She grew up a Methodist from birth, having attended church with her parents. Her mother loves to tell stories of taking Amy to choir practice in her pajamas while her mother sang and helped direct the choir. Amy grew up on a small farm in Lee County and enjoys the rural areas of DeSoto and Hardee County. Amy and her husband live in Zolfo Springs in Hardee County as her husband, David, pastors the First Methodist Church in Zolfo Springs. They have been married 19 years and have four feline fur babies.

Pastor Amy is excited to lead the Fort Ogden Community Church into the Global Methodist denomination, where she is currently pursuing her ordination. Amy loves to read, travel and treasure hunt at local thrift stores and yard sales. Most of all, Amy loves sharing the Word of God from the pulpit and is thrilled to be appointed at the beautiful, warm and friendly Fort Ogden Community Church.
